Congress Finalizes Candidate for Mahbubnagar MP; Debates on Remaining 16 Seats

As the Lok Sabha elections in Parliament are approaching, the ruling party Congress has announced its first Lok Sabha candidate. In this context, CM Revanth Reddy, who attended a meeting in Kosgi, Kodangal, announced Vamshi Chand Reddy as the Congress MP candidate for the Mahbubnagar Parliament segment. Vamshi Chand Reddy, who won as a Congress MLA from Kalwakurthy in 2014, contested as an MP for Mahbubnagar in 2019 and faced defeat. He is set to contest again from Mahbubnagar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Anticipation over 16 MP Seats

In the state, with a total of 17 MP seats, the Mahbubnagar MP seat has been finalized. Discussions have started within the party regarding the candidates for the current 16 MP seats, with over 309 individuals having applied. It is also known that individuals who left the BRS party to join Congress are hoping for MP tickets, raising interest in who will be given the opportunity by the Congress High Command. With the goal of winning in 14 out of the total 17 MP seats, Congress is reportedly making decisions to give chances only to those deemed most likely to win.
