Congress Promotes Vijayashanti Within Hours Of Joining The Party
In Telangana, the deadline for election nominations as well as withdrawals has already ended. Meanwhile, star actress and senior politician Vijayashanthi rejoined Congress just yesterday. Now, the party leadership has decided to use the services of Vijayashanti during the Assembly Elections’ last few days. To this extent, the party has appointed Vijayashanti as the chief coordinator of the campaign and planning committee.

The Congress Party has formed a committee to prepare the assembly election campaign and plan accordingly. In that committee, Vijayashanti was the chief coordinator and 15 people were selected as conveners. Samara Simha Reddy, Pushpaleela, Mallu Ravi, Kodanda Reddy, Vem Narender Reddy, Eravathri Anil, Ramulu Naik, Pitla Nageshwar Rao, Obaidullah Kotwal, Ramesh Mudiraj, Parijatha Reddy, Siddeshwar, Ramamurthy Naik, Ali bin Ibrahim Masqati and Deepak John were appointed as conveners.
It is known that Vijayashanti, who resigned from the BJP, joined the Congress party in the presence of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday. Vijayashanthi responded about joining Congress on the X platform. She posted, ‘Heartfelt thanks to the Congress Party’s high command as well as state leadership for welcoming me with great honour and respect.’

Meanwhile, BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind made strong comments on Vijayashanti after she left the party. Responding to his comments, Vijayashanthi said, “Today Nizamabad MP Arvind said many things about me while talking to a TV channel. Atal ji, Advani ji and the then BJP did not teach us the culture of criticizing people personally. Today, the Telangana society is saying that BRS and BJP are the same. Instead of criticizing me with hurtful words, it would be more reasonable if you answered that question first.”
