Congress Releases ‘Youth Charge Sheet’ Accusing BRS

Congress party lashed out at CM KCR that they were not ready to believe his lies anymore. They stated that once he said that he would give one job for every home, but now the youth are unemployed. Congress has released the ‘Youth Charge Sheet’ alleging that the BRS party has cheated the youth along with the state government’s employment irregularities. It alleged that the KCR government had spent the least amount of funds on the education sector as compared to other states in the country. In 2014-15, 10.89 per cent of the state budget was allocated for education, but it was reduced to 8.23 per cent in 2016-17. By 2023-24, the budget has been reduced to 7.6 per cent.

What does the Biswal Committee say?

Congress has accused in the youth charge sheet that KCR promised to provide free education from KG to PG, But it was never implemented. They complained that not a single new classroom could be built during KCR’s tenure. According to the Biswal committee report, with 2 lakh vacancies in the government departments… it has been revealed that this government is running with 60 per cent employees. They alleged that the government has failed to conduct all the exams, from the fifth class exams to the TSPSC exams. Thus causing more than 3,600 youth suicides. It is recalled that in 2012 and 2013, the previous Congress government had filled 1.25 lakh jobs without any controversy.

Lathi Charge On Group 2 Candidates

They accused the government of grossly failing to provide unemployment benefits of Rs 3,016 and claimed that the government has arrears of 1,74,928 per unemployed person. Due to the lack of a job calendar, various exams are being conducted at the same time, so lakhs of aspirants demanded the postponement of group 2 exams. They reminded us that KCR lathi-charged 4000 youths who protested.

66 Percent Vacant Lecturer Posts

Congress accused the BRS government of scuttling the fee reimbursement scheme. They said that lakhs of youth are missing out on education due to non-payment of fee reimbursement. Due to the delay in payment of fee reimbursement arrears of 4,592 crores, college owners are not issuing certificates to students. They mentioned that the government did not pay attention to the fact that 66 percent of the lecturer posts were vacant in government universities.

Youth Addiction To Drugs

They criticized KCR for many factors. For encouraging private universities to benefit and destroy public universities and for not providing minimum facilities to the students in the universities. They mentioned that because of the ineffective governance of KCR, youth were addicted to alcohol and drugs which spoiling their future.
