Congress Yet To Decide 3 Seats, Kharge To Hyderabad Today

After the Election Commission notified nominations in Telangana, the process of receiving them had also started on November 3. Now, in two more days, the deadline for nominations will also expire.

BRS has already announced almost all their candidates. BJP has announced candidates for 100 seats while its ally Jana Sena has also released a list of 8 candidates. Congress also released a list of 115 people. As part of the alliance, the Kothagudem seat was allotted to the CPI. With this, while the candidates for 3 seats are still to be announced, this is where the real problem exists for Congress. The candidates of the Congress party for Miryalaguda, Thungathurthi and Suryapet seats in the combined Nalgonda district are yet to be decided. As there are more candidates competing for the ticket in those seats, the party is working hard to prevent resentment. As a part of that, AICC chief Mallikarjuna Kharge will be coming to Hyderabad today.

On the other hand, it seems that they will also discuss the issue of alliance with CPM. For this, Congress will put two proposals before CPM. It seems that Congress is ready to allocate two MLC seats along with the Miryalaguda Assembly seat to CPM, just like they did to CPI. If not, they seem to have decided to offer one MLC seat and the Miryalaguda seat along with another assembly seat in Hyderabad.

If there is any clarity on the Miryalaguda seat, there is a possibility of Congress announcing candidates for Thungathurthi and Suryapet. Additionally, in the case of Thungathurthi, there is a possibility that Congress will announce the candidate only after discussions with the CPM. Discussions are going on as to who will be given the Suryapet seat. Here there is a tough competition between Ramreddy Damodar Reddy and Patel Ramesh Reddy.
