D. Sridhar Babu takes charge as IT Minister: Here are his other Portfolios

Duddilla Sridhar Babu assumed office as the IT, E&C, Industries and Legislative Affairs Minister of Telangana on Thursday. After that, he signed on many key files. In particular, he signed the file of the online portal related to the Right to Information Act. The BRS government started the portal last August, but the operations stopped a few days ago.

The minister said that this portal is being relaunched for transparency in the government departments. He added that with this, the long-time demands of social workers and Right to Information Act activists will be met. He expressed confidence that this makes online digital services more convenient for people. The minister explained that they have put an end to the past inconveniences of completing the applications on sample papers and providing them. Additionally, he ordered officials to study the extent to which these services can be received and give a suitable report. After assuming charge, the minister met with the officials and strongly warned them that they should not leak the matters going on in government departments.
