Deadline for eKYC of Ration Cards Fast Approaching in Telangana

The eKYC process of ration cards is going on in Telangana state. But the deadline for this is also fast approaching as only four days are left. In view of the deadline ending on January 31, officials suggest that anyone who has not updated their EKYC should do so immediately. It seems that there is no possibility of extending the deadline once again. The eKYC updating process has been going on in ration shops for two months. Aadhaar verification and fingerprints are being collected for KYC update. Officials suggest that if Aadhaar is not linked to the ration card, it should be done immediately. If e-KYC is not completed there is a possibility of reduction of ration goods. Ration beneficiaries will have to link their ration card and Aadhaar number by January 31.

The central government is providing free ration in all the states of the country through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana scheme. The sorting company has decided that linking the ration card with the Aadhaar number must be compulsory to avoid bogus ration cards. Most of the cards have the names of the dead. Due to this, the ration goods are getting sidetracked. The eKYC process was brought to the fore to check this. No matter how many beneficiaries there are in the family, all of them have to complete the eKYC process. On the other hand, the Telangana government is working on the approval of new ration cards. A procedural decision will be taken soon. After this KYC process, this data will also be considered by the government. If this process is completed the process of sanctioning new ration cards will be sped up.
