Elections 2023: Tears Of Unemployed Youth, A Curse For KCR?

The Telangana movement was carried out mainly for water, resources, and government postings. All the people participated on a large scale in this movement and protested for state formation. The unemployed played a very important role in the movement. It was the OU students who gave momentum to the movement. Believing that if they get Telangana, their lives will be better, they fought many battles, were beaten by the police, and even spent their lives in jail. There are many unemployed people who have lost their lives in the struggle for a separate state. The unemployed and their parents were very happy about the eventual formation of the state of Telangana. They hope that after so many sacrifices of lives, more jobs will come in the new state.

But after the formation of the state, KCR, even after becoming CM, forgot the unemployed. The situation of unemployment in Telangana has become adverse as the years passed. “After we assumed power, we have filled this many jobs, that many jobs.”, the BRS leaders pick up the mic and announce every time in public meetings. But, more than the number of jobs filled by their government, the number of jobs that have not been filled, the ones without notifications, and even notified jobs whose exams have been cancelled are more in number. If the BRS government gives a notification, it is not an exaggeration to say that the jobs that have been filled without going to court can be counted on the fingers.

Analysts say that KCR, who said that he would give jobs to families, has not filled at least 30,000 jobs after he came to office. From 2014 till now DSC was conducted only once in 2018. Since then, after promising to fill 13,000 posts, notifications for only 5000 jobs have been given. This was not fulfilled properly and got postponed. The situation of the students preparing for Group 2 is even worse. Citing reasons like paper leaks and due to the negligence of TSPSC, they got cancelled several times. It is in this background that a girl named Pravalika, who was preparing for Group 2, committed suicide. The unemployed say that not only Group 1, DAO, AE, and TPO, but almost all the notifications that came out during the tenure of CM KCR’s government have followed the same pattern.

Paper leaks, exam postponements, cases, and courts are what happened in Telangana during the BRS rule. KTR, who had previously questioned what the IT minister has to do with job notifications, now saying that the TSPSC needs to be overhauled, is proof of BRS’s doublespeak. Analysts say that Minister KTR, who is staring at certain defeat, has now changed his word about jobs. It is known that there is strong opposition to KCR among unemployed young men and women who have been deceived by BRS’s tricks for 10 years. This time they want to oust the BRS government in the elections.
