Etela Rajender’s Potential Move to Congress Sparks Political Frenzy: Is It True?

Former minister Etela Rajender faced a significant defeat in the Telangana assembly elections, losing in both contested seats including his constituency, Huzurabad. Despite campaigning alongside Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, he was unable to secure victory in Gajwel. Since then, Rajender has maintained a low profile, refraining from active participation in party activities. Adding to the BJP’s woes, a photo of former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy, who recently switched allegiance from BRS to Congress, meeting with Mynampally Hanumanth Rao, a Congress member, has gone viral on social media.

Reports suggest that the recent political meeting discussed state developments, fueling speculation about Etela’s potential departure from the party. Rumours indicate he may join the Congress and contest from Karimnagar in the upcoming parliamentary elections, aligning with the Congress’s aim to maintain its momentum from the Assembly elections. The addition of key leaders is seen as beneficial for the Congress, strengthening its position, with surveys indicating favourable prospects for the party in the Lok Sabha. All eyes are on Etela’s decision amidst heightened interest.

Meanwhile, Etela Rajender’s chief followers reacted to the news of party change. He said that Etela does not have the personality to change parties often. He made it clear that he would continue in the BJP. Mansoorabad BJP corporator Koppula Narsimha Reddy has made it clear that he met the Congress leaders on the occasion of his new house entry. He concluded that there was no truth in the news of Etela’s party change.
