Governor Tamilisai Visits Medaram Jatara: Special Pujas to Goddesses

The Governor of the state, Tamilisai Soundararajan, participated in the grand Medaram Jatra taking place in Mulugu district. On Friday, the Governor visited the Medaram Jatra and offered prayers to the goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma. On this occasion, they offered prayers to the goddesses and fulfilled their vows. Along with the Governor, Union Minister Arjun Munda also visited and offered prayers to Sammakka and Saralamma, the forest deities.

The grand Medaram Jathara is being celebrated with great splendour in the Mulugu district. The festival, which began on February 21, will conclude on February 24. In this process, devotees from Telangana and neighbouring states like Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Maharashtra are arriving in groups to visit the goddesses. With the forest goddesses seated on their sacred thrones, devotees are visiting to worship and offer their vows. The stream of people is especially visible around Jampa Vagu, where devotees are taking holy baths and offering prayers to the goddesses. The government has made all arrangements to ensure the devotees face no inconvenience.
