Harish Rao Questions Government: When will Rythu Bandhu Be Transferred?

Former minister and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao showered questions on the Telangana government on the first day of the assembly. He declared that BRS would always stand on the side of the people, whether they were in the ruling party or the opposition party. He opined that all the farmers are waiting for the state government’s decision. He reminded that Congress asked farmers not to sell paddy and said that they would buy with a bonus.

Harish Rao Questions Congress

Harish Rao demanded to know when the Congress government would buy paddy with a bonus of 500 rupees. Due to the cyclone, the paddies were wet in some places, and he asked the government to help farmers. Harish questioned the state government as to when they would give Rythu Bandhu the increased amount. He asked the Telangana government to say to him when they would buy paddy from farmers with a bonus. ‘When will the bonus of 500 rupees be given to the farmers’?

Implementation Of Rythu Bandhu

Harish Rao said that during the Telangana elections, the Congress party showered promises on the farmers. He reminded everyone that Congress said that they would increase the funds of Rythu Bandhu to 15 thousand per year. Fifteen thousand are for tenant farmers, and 12,000 are for agricultural labourers under Rythu Bandhu’s aid; they have promised to implement it as soon as the Congress government comes to power in Telangana. He questioned Congress for not giving Rythu Bandhu on the 9th of December, which they promised.

Execution Of Guarantees

Meanwhile, the Congress party, which was formed by the government in Telangana, implemented the first two guarantees out of six today. Apart from free bus travel for women, Arogya Shri has increased it from 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs. CM Revanth Reddy said that these will come into effect from today. He also said that the six guarantees given by the Congress party during the election campaign will be implemented within 100 days.
