High Court Stuns Kodandaram: MLC Oath Put on Hold

Telangana High Court Halts Oath-taking of Prof. Kodandaram and Ameer Ali Khan as MLCs under Governor’s Quota. The High Court ordered not to take the oath until further instructions are given. The Congress government appointed Prof. Kodandaram and Ameer Ali Khan as MLCs under the Governor’s quota. BRS leaders Dasoju Sravan and Satyanarayana have approached the High Court regarding this appointment. In their petition, they requested to halt the appointments of MLCs until the investigation of the petition they had previously filed was concluded.

After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court ordered not to conduct the oath-taking ceremony until further instructions were given. Kodandaram and Ameer Ali Khan were ready to take their oath as MLCs after being appointed by the government. a dramatic situation unfolded regarding the oath-taking ceremony due to the unavailability of the council chairman. The situation took another political turn with the court issuing new orders.

Recently, Professor Kodandaram and Aamir Ali Khan arrived at the council hall early in the morning for their oath-taking ceremony. Gutha Sukhender Reddy, the council chairman expected to conduct the oath ceremony, did not appear at the venue. Even after hours passed, the council chairman did not arrive at his office. The Congress party started criticizing, alleging that the BRS deliberately did not want the MLC oath-taking to happen and that Gutha Sukhender Reddy’s absence was intentional.
