‘Hyderabad Citizens Should Think Once’: Congress’ Tweet on KCR Regime

The Telangana Congress stated that they were tired of seeing the glass floors and colourful walls during KCR’s ten-year rule. To this extent they made an interesting post on X on this matter, revealing that Hyderabad has a population of more than one crore and that the majority of middle-class people wake up in the morning and spend their time running to get to work. They noted that during KCR’s ten-year rule, real estate builders constructed high-rise buildings for business, celebrating this as the epitome of development.

Congress said that all this credit was given to KTR, saying that it was possible only because we have a leader like him. However, they raised concerns in the post saying, “What are we drinking and eating after waking up every morning? Is the food we eat clean? Are hotels and restaurants following safety norms? What is the condition of their health if they eat such food? Had the food safety and drug control officials been inspecting and regulating restaurants, hotels, and medical shops over the past ten years.”

In contrast, they noted that in the last six months, they have been hearing an average of two or three news items per week about food safety and medical inspections. “This is not the end of everything, but at least it suggests that the systems are working. Ambedkar said that development is not about glass floors and colourful walls. Every Hyderabadi should think about the importance of people living freely, comfortably, and with quality standards of living,” they concluded.
