Investigating the Kaleswaram: Vigilance Probe into Medigadda Barrage

The Congress government has directed a focused investigation into the collapse of the Medigadda barrage as part of its commitment to the Kaleshwaram uplifts. Consequently, orders have been issued for a vigilance inquiry, leading to searches conducted by vigilance officials in numerous irrigation offices associated with the Kaleshwaram project. A dedicated team of vigilance officials confiscated records pertaining to the Kaleshwaram project at Jalasoudha. In a concerted effort, ten special vigilance teams undertook inspections not only in Hyderabad but also in district irrigation offices.

Vigilance and enforcement inspections are underway in Jayshankar Bhupalpally district’s Kaleshwaram project offices, with a focus on scrutinizing records at the Mahadevpur Irrigation Division office. Thorough checks are being conducted on records related to the Medigadda Barrage and Kannepally Pumphouse. Meanwhile, the opposition has consistently expressed concerns about irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project, and the sudden scrutiny by authorities has become a significant statewide discussion.
