Kishan Reddy: ‘BJP MLAs Will Take Oath Only After Appointment Of Regular Speaker’

BJP state chief Kishan Reddy made sensational comments saying that the Congress government in Telangana is vulnerable and can lose its power at any time. He accused the Congress of taming the Majlis party to save the government. He said this was the intention behind selecting Akbaruddin Owaisi as Protem Speaker. He lashed out at the Congress party and said that it broke the tradition of the Legislative Assembly in an attempt to keep the government.

BJP Boycott

Kishan Reddy alleged that the selection of Owaisi as the Pro-tem speaker by keeping the seniors aside in the assembly reveals the corrupt agreement between Congress and the Majlis party. He reminded that his party’s MLAs had boycotted the assembly meetings in protest against the government’s decision. Kishan Reddy demanded that the Speaker election should not be held under the Pro-tem Speaker. He said that he will meet the governor on this matter. Kishan Reddy made it clear that the BJP MLAs will take oath only after the regular speaker is elected.

Akbaruddin As Protem Speaker

Kishan Reddy alleged that MIM’s corrupt deal with Congress came to light. He expressed anger that the opposition spread false allegations that MIM and BJP were working together. Sensational comments were made that Akbaruddin Owaisi was made the Pro-tem Speaker instead of a senior leader. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan swore in MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi as the pro-tem Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Governor and CM Revanth Reddy congratulated Akbaruddin after taking an oath. Later, the new MLAs were sworn in in the assembly.
