Kishan Reddy questions Congress govt: ‘Where is CBI enquiry?’

Union Minister and BJP Telangana President Kishan Reddy has criticized the Congress government’s stance on the Kaleshwaram Project’s corruption. He spoke at the BJP party office in Hyderabad. “The Kaleshwaram project might as well have submerged in the Godavari. The pillars are bent. It is useless. The then BRS government did not give correct details even to the team of central engineers who visited Medigadda. Why is the Congress government not asking for a CBI inquiry even as the Kaleshwaram project has collapsed?” He criticised the Kaleshwaram and Congress in this manner.

He expressed his opinion saying, “If you write a letter to the Centre asking for a CBI inquiry into the corruption of the Kaleshwaram project, the central government will order a CBI inquiry within just 48 hours. The Congress government is trying to save KCR in the Kaleshwaram Project’s corruption.”

He made some serious comments. “Before the construction of the Kaleshwaram Project, no land tests were done. The Congress government is also keeping this matter a secret to protect KCR who should be behind bars by now. The KCR government did not agree to the CBI inquiry into the corruption in the state. The CBI was not allowed to enter Telangana. Now, will the new Congress government agree to the CBI inquiry or not? The state government’s stand on the Kaleshwaram project corruption case should be clarified,” demanded Kishan Reddy.

He questioned why the Congress Party which demanded a CBI investigation when it was in the opposition, was not writing a letter requesting the same now that they are in power. While questioning whether they were sympathetic to the BRS party, he demanded clarity on whether the CBI investigation would be requested or not. Expressing doubts about whether there has been a reconciliation between BRS and Congress in this matter, he criticized that while people voted for them to get rid of KCR, Congress is taking steps to benefit KCR in the name of judicial inquiry.
