Magic Figure Seems Unlikely In Telangana: BJP’s Hopes On Hung Assembly

The polling part of Telangana Assembly elections was completed on Thursday. In all the 119 constituencies, there is a lot of excitement on the topic of which party the voters are going to crown. While the results will be announced on December 3, the exit poll results have opened the most interesting discussion. Most notably, all exit poll surveys have largely favoured the Congress party. But BRS leaders believe that their party is certain to come to power for the third time in a row. Meanwhile, BJP leaders believe that no party will get a majority and this time the state is going to witness a hung assembly.

Magic Figure Doubtful?

The debate on a hung assembly came to the fore as most of the survey organizations indicated that neither Congress nor BRS would be able to achieve the magic figure of 60 in this election. At this juncture, the BJP is also saying that neither Congress nor BRS will reach the magic figure. If this happens, the BJP leaders believe that even if their party wins double-digit seats, it is likely to become the kingmaker. They say that their role will become crucial in this election. All said and done, we still have to wait and see how true these polls are.

What happens if a Hung Assembly emerges?

BJP leaders are confident that they will win about 9 seats in the Greater area and another 10 seats across the state. Goshamahal, LB Nagar, Quthbullapur, Patancheru, Rajendranagar, Serilingampally, Maheshwaram, Amberpet and Musheerabad are the seats they are hopeful to win in Greater Hyderabad. In other places in the state, they are expecting to win Karimnagar, Nirmal, Boath, Kamareddy, Mudhole, Huzurabad, Korutla, Kalwakurthy, Makthal and other segments. BJP leaders say that if there is a hung assembly, they will recommend President’s rule and after that, a new government will be formed. They say that whoever they support will form the government.
