‘No link to Land Grabbing’: Malla Reddy responds on SC, ST Case

A police case has been registered against former Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy in the wake of allegations of encroachment of tribal lands. Medchal MLA and former minister Malla Reddy responded to these allegations. He dismissed all those allegations as false. He clarified that there is no need for land grabs. He said he had nothing to do with ‘Kabja’.

Mallareddy, who attended the Assembly Session on Thursday, was asked about the allegations of land capture by the media. On this occasion, Mallareddy said, “Allegations of land grabbing are untrue. I don’t need land grabs. I do not have any relation regarding the 47 acres of tribal land. Some middlemen are into the buying and selling. They may have occupied the land of the tribals. I do not think that the government has taken biased action against me in this incident. This is a small incident,” he said.

What’s the Controversy?

Some tribals complained in Shamirpet police station that Malla Reddy and his followers cheated and acquired more than 47 acres of inheritance land in Kesavaram village, Chintalapalli mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri District. The police received the complaints, started the investigation and registered cases against Malla Reddy along with the MRO. A 420 cheating case along with SC, ST Atrocities case has been registered against a total of 9 people.
