Notification released for appointing new TSPSC Chairman and Members

The newly elected Congress government in Telangana has focused on overhauling the TSPSC. CM Revanth Reddy has already promised he would take steps towards changing the Telangana Public Service Commission on the lines of UPSC. In this order, the members of the previous governing body resigned, and a notification was issued for the appointment of new members in their place.

The Telangana Government has released a notification for the appointment of the TSPSC Chairman and other members. Eligible candidates should apply before 18th January. The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Commission at www.telangana.gov.in. The filled-up applications can be sent to the email address secy-ser-gad@telangana.gov.in by 5 PM on the 18th. Meanwhile, several members, including the chairman, who were appointed during the BRS government’s tenure, have recently resigned. TSPSC Chairman Dr B Janardhan Reddy, members Bandi Lingareddy, R Satyanarayana and Karam Ravinder Reddy have already submitted their resignations. These positions went vacant after the Governor approved their resignations recently. In this background, Sumitra Anand Tanoba, another member who has decided to resign, reached the TSPSC office and sent a resignation letter to the Governor through her staff. At present, Kotla Arunakumari is the only member of the commission.
