Ongoing Officer Transfers Mark Telangana’s Election Preparations

As the Lok Sabha elections draw near, reports suggest that the election schedule may be announced in the coming month. Against this backdrop, the Telangana government has resumed officer transfers, with over 130 Tehsildar and 32 Deputy Collectors (RDOs) relocated across the state. Additionally, significant transfers have been initiated in the Panchayat Raj department recently.

In the Rural Development Department, 105 officers have been transferred, including the CEO, DRDO, Additional DRDO, and DPO. Officers who have been working in the same place for a long time have been transferred. Additionally, 14 Excise Superintendents, two Deputy Commissioners, and nine Assistant Commissioners have also been transferred. Government sources indicate that more department-wise transfers are expected in the future, with the process aligned with the Election Commission’s guidelines.
