Praja Palana begins today in Telangana: A flood of applications received

Telangana’s statewide Praja Palana program has started. This program will be held from December 28 to January 6. Grama Sabhas started in all the villages at 8 AM. Separate queues have been set up for women, men and the disabled. One counter has been set up for every 100 applicants. Public administration meetings are ongoing in 12,769 grama panchayats and 3,626 municipal wards in a total of 16,395 areas of the state.

The government has constituted 3,714 authority groups to conduct grama sabhas. The government has appointed senior officers for all joint districts to monitor this programme. A special control room has been set up in each district collectorate to monitor the public administration program. Applications are being accepted for Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyoti, Indiramma Houses and Handicraft schemes under Abhayahastam.

Arrangements have been made for the management of the Praja Paripalan program in Greater Hyderabad. GHMC Commissioner Ronald Ross appointed 30 special officers for 30 circles under GHMC. The government has appointed six IAS officers in charge of six zones under Greater Hyderabad for the implementation of public governance. A total of 600 counters have been set up under the GHMC. There will be 5 thousand personnel on duty. There are another 5 thousand volunteers. There are four teams in a ward and each team consists of seven staff members.
