Priyanka Lashes Out At KCR: ‘Did Not Give Telangana For One Family’

AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that PV Narasimha Rao stood by her family when her father Rajiv Gandhi died and that Sonia Gandhi has great respect towards him for being a person of such exceptional qualities. She said that they give immense honour to PV who had come from this land. She said that no one is happy under the rule of BRS. “Has KCR completed the projects in the Husnabad constituency? Have the people displaced by the project received any compensation? Has there been any development in Mulkanoor village that was adopted by KCR?” She demanded answers to these questions. “Can you tell me what BRS has done in these ten years? Do you want another five years of this kind of government?” She asked the public.

‘Please Think And Vote!’

Priyanka said that this government has not thought of Dalits and tribals. She alleged that there was massive corruption in big projects. She said that BRS cheated farmers saying they would waive off farm loans. This government has undermined farmers’ loan waivers, she added. Priyanka reminded that Telangana was formed due to the sacrifices of the people and they felt that such a state should develop. But people’s aspirations have not been fulfilled in this ten-year period, she expressed. “Have the wishes of the Telangana martyrs, for which so many people sacrificed their lives, come true?” She asked and then appealed to people to think before they cast their vote.

‘We Will Release A Job Calendar’

Priyanka went on to promise that if the Congress party wins, the miseries of the unemployed will be removed. “How many jobs did the BRS government provide during these ten years?” She asked. “Telangana is number one in the country in terms of unemployment. The leak of the TSPSC exams has made the youth deeply depressed,” stated Priyanka Gandhi. She promised to implement a job calendar when Congress comes to power. She criticized the BRS government for distorting the suicides of the unemployed.

‘BRS, BJP and MIM are one and the same’

She complained that AIMIM Party chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticizes Rahul Gandhi all the time but never speaks a word about Prime Minister Modi. Priyanka said that Telangana elections are being held between BRS and Congress. She claimed that BRS, BJP and AIMIM are the same. She criticized that the MIM Party, which contests in tens of numbers in other states, is not contesting even ten seats in Telangana. People should understand this, she said.

Priyanka Gandhi Visits a Geeta Karmika’s (Toddy Worker) House

Priyanka made an impromptu visit to the house of a Geeta Karmika (Toddy Palm-Wine Extractor: Occupation). The family members were shocked to see her. Priyanka stopped the car and went to the unfinished house in Kishannagar after seeing mango arches and garlands of marigolds while going to Kothagudem upon finishing the meeting in Husnabad of Siddipet district. She met the head of the family, a Toddy Worker, Jagiri Rajayya and Mrs Rama and conversed for a while with the couple. As they were performing the Satyanarayana Vrat at home, she inquired about the pooja. She asked why the construction of the house was stopped and why the shop was not set up. The owner of the house attributed this to financial difficulties. Priyanka then greeted the woman house-head warmly and took her phone number.
