Raj Gopal Reddy says Belt Shops have to be closed at any cost!

Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy said that during the previous BRS government, belt shops sprung up all over Telangana which made many young people addicted to alcohol. But now, he said, even if it puts his post in doubt, he would want all the belt shops to be closed. In his camp office, Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy held a meeting with the chief leaders of 26 villages on the closure of belt shops and the development of villages.

He expressed concern that many families are being destroyed due to alcoholism. He commented that the youth are becoming addicted to alcohol because they can find it everywhere. According to the law, there should not be belt shops, he explained. He said that he is exclaiming once again that it doesn’t matter to him if he loses his post, but the belt shops have to be closed. He said that before 2014, when the Congress government was in power, there were no belt shops in the villages.
