Revanth Reddy’s Sensational Decision On Pragathi Bhavan: First Time Allocated To Deputy CM

The government of Telangana has taken a sensational decision on the official residence of the Chief Minister, which has been going on for decades. The Government has issued an order allotting that building to the Deputy Chief Minister. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will live in that residence. Actually, the Chief Minister should live in this building. But Revanth Reddy is not willing to live. Alternative arrangements for the camp office are being looked into.

The official residence in Begumpet, Hyderabad, is used by the Chief Ministers from the united Andhra Pradesh. YSR, Roshaiah, Kiran Kumar Reddy and recently KCR. After coming to power in 2014, KCR built additional structures to that building. A modern building has been prepared with all facilities. It was named Pragati Bhavan, and KCR stayed in that building till he stepped down from the post. Revanth Reddy, who came to power recently, should have lived in that building, but he refused. Pragati Bhavan was renamed as Praja Bhavan. In this order, this building was allotted to the Deputy Chief Minister. Deputy CM will live in this building for the first time.

Praja Vani is also expected to be held in the same building. The BRS party is strongly opposed to allocating this building to the Deputy Chief Minister. BRS leaders are questioning whether the most prominent spacious building is not enough for Revanth Reddy to live. BRS leaders are indignant that Congress will waste public money by building the CM’s camp office at another place. It is said that if the camp office is set up at a new place, the locals will face severe problems.
