RS Praveen Kumar Responds To Stabbing Attack On Barrelakka’s Brother

Kolhapur independent candidate Shirisha’s (Barrelakka) younger brother was attacked by some thugs. On Tuesday, strangers attacked him with knives and seriously injured him while he was campaigning in the Venacherla village of Peddakothapally mandal. Barrelakka responded to this by saying that as people’s support for her increased, her family was being attacked. She condemned it as undemocratic.

She said that there is no democracy in the state. She asked for police protection for herself and her family. She complained to the police about the attack. She made it clear that she would not back down in the fight for the unemployed youth no matter how many conspiracies were plotted. BSP state chief RS Praveen Kumar responded to this attack.

“The attack on the younger brother of Shirisha alias Barrelakka, an unemployed woman who was nominated as an independent candidate in Kolhapur is condemnable. The perpetrators of this attack should be arrested immediately. Should politics be done only by the ruling classes? Even before this, when the Peddakothapally police filed a case against Shirisha on the video that she was not getting jobs, the Bahujan Samaj Party stood in support of her,” said RS Praveen Kumar.
