Assembly elections were held on November 30. The counting of votes was held on December 3. Anjani Kumar, who is the DGP, immediately met PCC president Revanth Reddy, and city commissioners were also present with him. This angered the Election Commission. When the Code was in force, the Election Commission considered it against the rules and suspended Anjani Kumar.

“I did not deliberately violate the code on the day of counting of votes. I went to Revanth Reddy’s house only when he called us. Such incidents will not be repeated,” Anjani Kumar explained to the Election Commission. His appeal was considered, and the suspension was lifted. With the lifting of the suspension, whether Anjani Kumar will become DGP again or not has become a news of discussion. It seems that Anjani Kumar, who was appointed to the BRS government, may not be given the chance of DGP by the Congress Party government. Once, Revanth Reddy criticized Anjani Kumar as a Bihari batch, so there was no chance of appointing Anjani Kumar as DGP.
