Is the GHMC Deputy Mayor Considering Switching Parties?

However, while the exact details of their meeting remain undisclosed, there are indications that they may soon depart from their current party and align with the Congress. It’s rumoured that Bonthu Rammohan and Srilatha Shobhan Reddy are considering joining the Congress before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rammohan, who had hoped for the Uppal MLA ticket in the last assembly election, has been disillusioned since then and is dissatisfied with the party leadership. Meanwhile, Shobhan Reddy is eyeing the Secunderabad MP ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. However, the BRS leadership is reportedly considering Talasani Saikiran, son of former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, for the Secunderabad seat. With this backdrop, Shobhan Reddy seems inclined to switch parties. Additionally, there are reports that the Congress party aims to bolster its ranks ahead of the GHMC elections in a bid to secure the mayor’s post.
