Telangana Assembly Election Results: Thousands Of Votes For Nota

The Telangana Assembly election results were announced on December 3, and the Congress won a landslide victory. Congress, with a full majority, will form the government. Congress has emerged as the single largest party in Telangana by winning 64 constituencies. If you include the CPI, which contested with their alliance, it has a strength of 65 seats. BRS party is limited to 39 seats.

NOTA Votes

However, during the election, some voters voted for NOTA instead of the candidates standing in the election. Voters can take this decision if they don’t like any party or if they don’t like the candidates standing there. This time, it seems that the people of Telangana are interested to know the number of votes. Total voting in Telangana was 71.14 per cent, while 0.73 per cent of voters chose NOTA.

Highest In Quthbullapur

In the 2023 assembly elections, NOTA votes were cast in every constituency. 4079 NOTA votes were registered in Quthbullapur, while 3002 votes were counted in the Serilingampally constituency. The lowest number of 513 NOTA votes was cast in the Nampally constituency. Meanwhile, a maximum of 48 candidates stood in the fray from the LB Nagar constituency. At least 10 candidates stood in the fray from the Cantonment constituency.
