Telangana Govt Launches Mahalakshmi And Cheyutha Schemes

After the formation of the Congress government in Telangana, the CM along with the ministers and MLAs took oath in the assembly meeting today. Meanwhile, it is known that Congress has focused on implementing the six guarantees. Recently, fulfilling two of those guarantees, the Mahalakshmi and Cheyutha schemes were launched by CM Revanth Reddy along with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and women ministers. As a part of this, free travel for women under the Mahalakshmi scheme and free medical care up to Rs.10 lakh with Rajiv Aarogyasri Insurance under the Cheyuta scheme, have been launched. Meanwhile, CM Revanth honoured famous boxing champion Nikhat Zareen during the launch of the Mahalakshmi scheme. Later, the CM awarded Nikhat Zareen a financial assistance of Rs.2 crores.

Free Travel For Women

The Telangana government from 2 PM today, have launched the scheme of free travel for women all over the state in the Palle Velugu, Express buses in rural areas and Ordinary City buses, Express buses in cities. With this, every woman irrespective of age can travel in RTC buses for free. Meanwhile, they will be given a ‘Rs.0’ ticket. However, the free travel facility is not applicable in Rajdhani, Super Luxury and Deluxe buses. In buses going beyond Telangana state to other states, free is applicable only up to the state borders.

Free travel will be available for women in the state from today. But tickets related to this are going viral on social media. ‘Free travel ticket, fare Rs.00.00’ is written on it.

Rs.10 lakh aid for medical treatment

Congress started Arogyasri Insurance under the Cheyutha scheme they announced. As a part of this, Rs. 10 lakh will be provided for medical treatment. While the earlier limit was only up to Rs.5 lakhs, now it will be increased to Rs.10 lakhs. This scheme will be implemented in all the hospitals under the Aarogyasri network across the state. All eligible citizens of the state can avail of this scheme’s benefits.
