Telangana Govt to roll out Indiramma housing scheme from 11th March

The government has given good news to the people of Telangana. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is to start the Indiramma House scheme on the 11th of this month. He ordered the officials to make necessary arrangements for this. He said that this scheme should be undertaken ambitiously as part of the implementation of six guarantees as promised by the government. Chief Minister Revanth along with Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar and Advisor to the Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy conducted a review of the guidelines related to the Indiramma House scheme on Saturday.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to apply this scheme to all the poor and eligible people who have no house in the state. He said that procedures should be made accordingly. He said that priority should be given to all the eligible people registered in public administration. The officials were alerted to ensure that the mistakes made by the previous government in the construction of double-bedroom houses are not repeated and the actual deserving people benefit. First, a tentative decision was taken to grant 3500 houses to each constituency. The CM expressed his hope that the dream of owning a house for the poor who are homeless will be fulfilled step by step.

In the Indiramma house scheme, those who own a plot of land will be given Rs 5 lakh for building a new house on the same plot. The homeless poor will be given Rs 5 lakh along with a house plot. The chief minister instructed the officials to prepare the stages in which these funds should be released. He said that strict guidelines should be made to prevent misuse of the funds to be received by the beneficiaries.

The CM suggested that different types of house models and designs should be made to be useful for those who are building a house in their own space. Beneficiaries should ensure that their own house is built according to their needs but must have a kitchen and toilet. The CM suggested that the responsibilities of monitoring house construction should be handed over to engineering departments in various departments. He said that these responsibilities should be given to the engineering departments under the district collectors.
