Telangana Witnesses Massive DSP Transfers Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the transfer process of government officials is ongoing in Telangana. The government, which has already transferred a large number of officials in the Revenue, Excise, Panchayati Raj, and Police departments, has recently carried out extensive transfers in the Police department. Following the directives of the Central Election Commission, the Police department has executed a significant number of transfers, relocating 47 DSPs. According to election regulations, considering the Lok Sabha constituency as a unit, the Police department has implemented these transfers. DSPs who have worked in the same parliamentary constituency for four years have recently been transferred by the Police department.

However, DGP Ravi Gupta has issued orders to transfer DSPs for the fifth time in 22 days. This transfer process, which started on the 12th of last month, is still ongoing. Recently, another set of orders has been issued to transfer 47 DSPs again. It is noteworthy that among these, officials who had recently been transferred are also included.
