TG License Plates Symbolize Telangana’s Struggle and Pride

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the term ‘TG’ embodies the self-respect of Telangana. Speaking at the Hanmakonda Collectorate Conference Hall, he mentioned that during the movement period, instead of ‘AP’, ‘TG’ was written on vehicle number plates. He noted that on June 2, when the state was bifurcated, the gazette issued had ‘TG’, but the previous BRS government changed it to ‘TS’. He announced that from Friday onwards, every vehicle would be registered with ‘TG’. He stated that the government made this decision in alignment with the aspirations of the people of Telangana.

On another note, the minister announced that fitness tests will be conducted again for heavy vehicle drivers to prevent accidents. Minister Ponnam highlighted the measures being taken for the protection of RTC, stating that RTC is operating without any burdens. He made it clear that the organization will be strengthened further by soon conducting recruitment to enhance its functioning.
