Unemployed youth stages protest in Praja Bhavan over G.O. 46

The unemployed are angry with the new Congress government. They have been protesting in colleges for some time now, but recently they shifted their protests collectively to the Deputy Chief Minister’s residence. More than 500 unemployed youths simultaneously protested in Praja Bhavan demanding immediate job creation. The unemployed, then, expressed their anger as none of the ministers came to public address.

The unemployed people gathered in large numbers for the Prajavani held on Friday at ‘Praja Bhavan’, the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka in Hyderabad. Knowing this, Minister Konda Surekha met the unemployed. They demanded that the hindrance to announcing jobs should be removed. They said that all the unemployed took to the roads about G.O. 46, 57 and 55 and pleaded for justice. They asked the government to respond especially in the matter of police jobs.

Meanwhile, the unemployed people staged a dharna at the Deputy Chief Minister’s residence which created a stir. For more than an hour, the unemployed people sat in the Prajavani program. The unemployed protested peacefully without raising any slogans. But the police sent out the unemployed people fearing they might start a movement right there.
