TS Elections: BRS In Deep Trouble If Congress Decides That!

In Telangana, BRS party president CM KCR announced candidates for almost all constituencies for the 119 seats. BJP has announced a total of 53 people in their first (52) and second (1) lists. Congress has announced the names of 55 candidates in their first list. It is against this backdrop that there is great excitement among aspirants, activists and the public concerning Congress’s second list.

In this context, it is reported that the candidates for 45 constituencies have been finalized in the Central Election Committee meeting led by President Mallikarjun Kharge. There was an initial rumour that Congress would announce candidates phase-wise. But Congress has clarified that soon there will be an announcement for all the seats. After this, a new talk is doing the rounds in political circles.

Reportedly, the Congress high command has decided that the key leaders of the Telangana Congress will contest from two seats each. According to these reports, most of the heat will be seen in the seats of KCR’s Kamareddy and Gajwel, Harish Rao’s Siddipet, and KTR’s Sircilla. Along with TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, CLP Bhatti Vikramarka, Uttam Kumar Reddy and the Komatireddy brothers are likely to contest.

On the other hand, the Congress CEC, which finalized the candidates in 45 constituencies, kept 14 seats pending as they did not come to a consensus. It is reported that the constituencies of Yellandu and Paleru in Khammam, Devarakonda, Thungathurthy and Suryapet in Nalgonda district, Makthal and Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar district are on the pending list.

On the other hand, it appears that the talks with the Communist parties have been successful. It is reported that an agreement has been reached regarding giving two seats each to the CPM and CPI parties. While a consensus has to be reached on which positions should be given, it is expected that the issue of alliances will come to an end in a day or two.
