TS Rental Bus Owners Postpones Strike, Ensures Smooth Travel for Sankranti
Telangana RTC officials have successfully negotiated with rental bus owners, leading to the temporary suspension of the planned strike. The rental bus owners agreed to postpone the strike for a week as the government pledged to address their concerns. This development ensures the availability of buses for the upcoming Sankranti festival, alleviating concerns about transportation to villages during the festival.
The Congress government’s implementation of the free bus scheme had posed challenges for rental bus owners, impacting their income and raising issues related to passenger congestion and bus fitness. Frustrated with unaddressed pleas to resolve these problems, rental bus owners had initially planned a strike starting Friday.

Owners of rental buses highlighted five major issues to the RTC, with a commitment from Sajjanar to resolve them by the 10th of the month, prompting the withdrawal of the strike.
