TSRTC Launches Electric Metro Buses, Offers Free Rides for Women

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is introducing new Metro Electric buses into service. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Ponnala Prabhakar will inaugurate the electric buses on Tuesday near the Ambedkar statue at Necklace Road in Hyderabad.

The state government has decided to introduce a total of 500 buses by August this year. As part of this, 22 Metro Electric buses will be made available from today. Officials have stated that women can travel for free in these Metro Electric buses. The RTC has introduced non-AC electric Metro buses for the first time, featuring a modern look and comfortable seating. The TSRTC mentioned that regular fares would apply in these electric Metro Express buses.
