TSRTC’s Major Boost: New Modern Buses Set to Transform Transportation in Telangana

TSRTC brings good news for the people of Telangana as it aims to enhance the quality of services for passengers by introducing 1,050 new advanced diesel buses at a cost of Rs 400 crore in the current financial year. These buses include 400 Express, 512 Pallevelugu, 92 Lahari Sleeper cum Seater, and 56 AC Rajdhani buses. Additionally, 540 eco-friendly electric vehicles will be deployed in Hyderabad city, with an additional 500 buses for other parts of the state, to be rolled out gradually.

New Buses From Tomorrow

As part of the Mahalakshmi scheme, these buses will support increased traffic, offering free bus travel for women. Tomorrow, 80 new buses with modern features are set to be launched, including 30 Express, 30 Rajdhani AC, and 20 Lahari Sleeper cum Seater (Non-AC) buses, starting at 10 am at the Ambedkar statue on NTR Marg in Hyderabad, as announced by TSRTC MD Sajjanar and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
