TSRTC’s request to Women passengers: New guideline from now

After the implementation of the free bus travel scheme for women in Telangana, the number of passengers in buses has increased significantly. Women are showing interest in travelling in Pallevelugu and Express buses. Everywhere you look, all the buses are full. With this, RTC is now facing a new dilemma.

But women who travel short distances are also showing interest in boarding Express buses because of the free travel. The RTC officials realized that this was causing trouble to the passengers going to distant places and reported it to the higher authorities. RTC MD Sajjanar responded to this on his X profile.

He requested women travelling short distances to travel by Pallevelugu buses instead of express buses. Those travelling short distances were asked to board the Pallevelugu buses and cooperate with the staff. Also, some women are putting pressure on the staff to stop the buses in the middle of the road even if they are not in the permitted stages. This is increasing the travel time. He said that henceforth express buses will stop only at the permitted stages. He also appealed to the staff to give priority to the passengers from distant areas. He revealed that this rule will be strictly implemented.
