Who Will Win The Prestigious Gajwel Seat ?.. Big Trouble For KCR

Gajwel constituency is going to be the most prestigious battle in the Telangana assembly elections. Etala Rajender, who once declared that he was the owner of TRS, is now calling for a fight against the leader of the same party, KCR. Etala, who has been the backbone of KCR in the movement and governance, is now interestingly contesting against him.

KCR’s Only Hope

Although KCR is contesting from Gajwel, Minister Harish Rao campaigned on his behalf the last two times. Even now, Harish Rao, who is busy addressing assemblies and meetings across the state, has taken KCR’s victory on his shoulders. Land dwellers of Mallanna are also unhappy, and Harish Rao is working to appease them. Also, it is clear that KCR has won from Gajwel and has been the CM for the last ten years. He has not done much development and has not given time to the people. But KCR believes he will get votes for building the ring road, Kondapochamma Sagar reservoir, railway station, and double-bedroom houses.

Aiming For BC Voters

Etala believes in BC voters, who are more than half of the constituency. There are a total of 2.65 lakh votes here, and 1.35 lakh votes are from BCs. It is known that more than 50 thousand votes belong to Mudiraj, a community of Etela. After Etela’s announcement that he would contest from Gajwel, many leaders who were dissatisfied with BRS turned towards BJP. Etela spoke to them and told them that he was sure to compete from Gajwel and invited them to join the party. Later, after receiving an official announcement from the BJP leadership, about 2 thousand workers joined the BJP Party in several stages. Etala says that he will defeat KCR and take revenge for the conspiracies against him.

Congress Candidate With Local Slogan

Congress candidate and former MLA Thumkunta Narsa Reddy, who won from Gajwel in the 2009 election…lost to KCR in 2014 and did not contest in the 2018 elections. Now again, he entered the ring on behalf of Congress. Narsa Reddy, who has already started campaigning in the villages, says that the Congress party’s traditional vote bank and the six guarantees got a good response from the public He noted that the problems of land dwellers will be solved, and he will be available all the time. Since he is contesting against the Chief Minister, if he wins, the party lines are aligned in the sense that he will have due priority in the next Congress government. Apart from that, the fact that Narsa Reddy is a local is a plus, but the chances of winning are less, say political analysts.

Vijayashanti Into Congress

Telangana fire brand Ramulamma looks sure to cover the Congress scarf. News is doing the rounds on social media that she is joining in the party. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Vivek have already joined the Congress from BJP, and it is known that Vijayashanti will also follow the same path. For some time now, she has been burning with a deep dissatisfaction with the BJP’s behaviour. The absence of Vijayashanti’s name in the list of candidates also surprises everyone. But if Vijayashanthi joins the Congress, it is known that the Congress is thinking of fielding her from Gajwel instead of Narsa Reddy.

Whoever Wins In Gajwel Forms The Government

The sentiment is strong that whichever party’s candidate wins in the Gajwel constituency, the party will be in power in the state. Since 1957, whichever candidate wins here, that party has gained power in the state. Congress won here in 1957, 1958, 1962, 1967, 1972,1978 and formed the government. TDP won here in 1983, 1985, 1994 and 1999 and formed government in the state. TRS won in 2014 and 2018 and formed the government.

A Three-Way Contest

However, the improvement made by CM KCR Gajwel is only limited even though he has been CM two times, and hence, it is seen that people are on top of him. Failure to build 1200 double-bedroom houses in Gajwel and not provide them to the beneficiaries and KCR’s lack of availability to tell if there is a problem will become a minus for the BRS party. Now, Etala Rajender will give KCR tough competition. Even though the Congress candidate Narsa Reddy is a local, it seems that the chances of winning are less. CM KCR and Etala are looking strong in Gajwel, while Congress is strong across the state. According to reports on social media, if BJP leader Vijayashanti joins the Congress and contests from here on behalf of that party, there is a possibility that the two-way contest will become a bit of a three-way contest.
