Will BJP’s ‘Sakala Janula Saubhagya Telangana’ Manifesto Work?

In the wake of the Telangana elections, the BJP party has released a manifesto titled ‘Sakala Janula Saubhagya Telangana’. As part of this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced the key points in the manifesto titled ‘Mana Modi Guarantee – BJP Bharosa’. But there are 10 main points in this manifesto. He promised that if BJP came to power, they would reduce the VAT on petrol and diesel, give the CM post to a BC, create 10 lakh jobs for women, and fill all government jobs including EWS quota within 6 months for the benefit of all sections of the people.

BJP Rejuvenated with the Release of Manifesto

With the manifesto released by the BJP, the enthusiasm of the party leaders increased. In the same way, as its contents are beneficial to women, the unemployed and farmers, there is a positive response from people. Especially everyone is happy about the Rs.2 lakh fixed deposit in the bank for a newborn girl, under the guarantee for the girl child. Similarly, women are showering praises on the guarantee of 4 cylinders. The common man is celebrating with assurances like free health coverage of Rs.10 lakh per year in private hospitals and free medical check-ups once a year for economically backward families. People of Telangana are saying that they will vote for BJP in the upcoming elections.

Will the populist approach work?

With the success of the BJP’s recent public meetings in the state, the party leaders are excited. BJP has increased aggression intending to take power in Telangana. The famous policy which has given good results in Gujarat and UP is being implemented in the state. It is reported that they directed the cadre to function in each constituency as a unit. It seems that two in-charges have been appointed for each constituency. It seems that there is a plan to have a state leader along with the national leader in these two in-charges. As a part of this, the welfare and development schemes implemented by the central government are being widely publicized by exposing the failures of the ruling BRS. However, it remains to be seen how far the ‘Sakala Janula Saubhagya Telangana manifesto will affect the people in the upcoming elections.
