‘We Will Change Hyderabad’s Name’ – Assam CM Himanta

In the Telangana assembly elections, the parties are making some strange promises. Among them, the promises given by the BJP are unique. One of them is the name change of Hyderabad. The party leader and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma promised to change Hyderabad’s name to Bhagyanagara if BJP came to power. He announced that the name of Hyderabad will also be changed as many cities in the country have been renamed.

As part of the election campaign, he visited Charminar and Malakpet constituencies in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He attended public meetings held in Salibanda and Saidabad and said, ‘BRS and Congress are providing reservations in the name of religion. We will abolish them if we come to power. With the abolition of triple talaq, Muslim women are supporting our party. The BRS party does not dare to take action against the AIMIM party leaders who are threatening the police.”

Explaining what he would do if the BJP came to power, he said, ‘We will bring Metro Rail to the old town and will make job appointments every year, and Madarsa will be closed,” CM Himanta Biswasharma said. The assurances he gives make the people of Minority communities old city angry.
