AP neglects Rs 250 crores in dues to be paid to Telangana

Even though it has been ten years since the separation of Telugu states, the division problems are still not resolved. Disputes continue to linger in matters like institutions, funding, jobs and offices. And the dues from AP to Telangana are also in the same condition. Recently Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University VC Professor K Seetharama Rao also spoke about the dues. He recalled that the AP government has to pay Rs 250 crores to the university.

A press conference was held on Tuesday to reveal the details of the varsity graduation ceremony to be held on the 28th of this month. On this occasion, he mentioned the matter of AP arrears. According to the 10th Schedule of the Partition Act, the varsity’s relationship with AP will be severed from June 2024. He said that after the partition, his university is serving in both states, but AP has not paid a single rupee for salaries and maintenance expenses. The VC said that the total arrears for ten years have reached Rs 250 crore. They said that they do not know when the money will come.
