Constitution Day: Today is Constitution Day

November 26 is celebrated as Constitution Day in the country. It is also known as ‘National Justice Day’. On 26 November 1949, the Constitution of India was accepted. It came into force on January 26, 1950.

The government of India issued a gazette notification on 19 November 2015. Since then, November 26 has been declared Constitution Day and celebrated every year to mark the event. From 2021 onwards, the Prime Minister called to observe National Law Day on this day. On this occasion, many programs will be organized in schools, colleges, and universities.
