Drugs: Heavy Drug Seizure in Gujarat, Smugglers Nailed by Navy

A large quantity of drugs was seized in Gujarat. The Indian Navy and the Narcotics Control Bureau conducted an operation in which approximately 3300 kilograms of drugs were captured. The drugs seized near the Porbandar coast in Gujarat include about 3089 kilograms of Charas, 158 kilograms of Methamphetamine, and 25 kilograms of Morphine. The operation was based on solid information that led to the capture of a ship smuggling these drugs.

Navy officials identified five Pakistanis on the ship suspected of drug smuggling. This operation marked the largest drug seizure in recent times, as stated by the Navy. The Home Minister, Amit Shah, commended the agencies for their significant achievement in seizing the largest offshore narcotics in the country. The operation, jointly conducted by the NCB, Navy, and Gujarat Police, resulted in the capture of 3132 kilograms of substantial drugs. Amit Shah mentioned that this step is towards achieving a drug-free India.
