LPG Cylinder Prices Soar: Significant Rise in Commercial Gas Rates

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, instead of bringing good news to gas consumers, the central government has announced a shocking update. Gas companies have raised the prices of 19 kg LPG commercial cylinders, starting today. State-owned oil companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum have increased the prices by approximately Rs. 25.50 per cylinder.

The new prices for 19 kg commercial gas cylinders are Rs. 1,795 in Delhi, Rs. 1,911 in Kolkata, and Rs. 1,960.50 in Chennai. This marks the second increase in commercial gas cylinder prices in 2024. However, there’s no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic gas cylinders, as oil companies confirmed that the previous rates remain unchanged.
