Mumbai Man Arrested For Dumping Waste In Sea: Anand Mahindra Reacts On X

Humans are polluting rivers and seawater. Once upon a time, river water was suitable for drinking but now the water is so polluted that one thinks twice before even taking a dip in it. Some people do not listen to the government’s advice not to litter the beaches in places like Mumbai and Vizag. Bringing and dumping plastic and some types of waste also poses a danger to marine creatures.

Police Arrest Man For Pollution!

But recently, the police have fined a person who threw waste at the Gateway of India beach in Mumbai. When he was seen dumping waste in the sea, the Colaba police came to the scene and identified him as a taxi driver and imposed a fine of 10,000 rupees. Apart from that, a man named Yakub Ahmed Dudwala (62) was detained at Pir Inayat Dargah in Dongri.

Experts point out that if garbage is dumped in the sea, it will reach deep areas and it will be almost impossible to remove it. Besides, they say it is financially infeasible. Therefore, they advise people not to throw waste into the sea in the first place. They say that if an attempt is made to remove the waste, there will be a threat to lakhs of sea beings.

A Disgruntled Anand Mahindra

Noted industrialist Anand Mahindra is active on social media and inspires his followers by regularly posting opinions on topics he thinks are important. In this context, he expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the dumping of waste in the sea. He said that he was very sad to see this.
