Shivaratri Celebrations: Devotional Surge at Shiva Temples Across States

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, Shiva temples in the Telugu states are bustling with devotees. Everywhere you look, the recitation of Shiva’s name is heard. In Telangana, devotees have been flocking since the early hours to perform Abhishekam at various significant temples such as the Vemulawada in Rajanna Sircilla district, Keesara Gutta in Medchal district, the historic Thousand Pillar Temple, Ramappa Temple, Mettu Ramalingeshwara Temple, Kuravi Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, Ainavolu Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, and Palakurthi Someshwara Temple.

Maha Shivaratri celebrations are also being grandly held in AP. In Rajahmundry, the Godavari Ghats are bustling with devotees. A large number of devotees from surrounding areas have gathered to perform holy baths. Devotees have thronged temples such as Srisailam, Tripurantakam, Bhairavakona, Bestavaripeta, Kotappakonda, and others since early morning. People are waiting in queues for hours to have the darshan of the deities.
