Telangana Announces Mega DSC Notification

The government of Revanth Reddy in Telangana is about to release a notification for the mega DSC to fill 11,062 teacher posts. The notification is expected to be released tomorrow. It was supposed to be released today, but due to finalizing the schedule and improvements in the software design, it has been delayed by a day, as stated by the officials.

Out of the 11,062 posts, 6,500 are for SGTs (Secondary Grade Teachers). Job seekers have high hopes for the DSC (District Selection Committee). Already, nearly 400,000 candidates have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test and are eagerly waiting for the DSC. On the other hand, officials are taking all precautions to ensure there are no issues in the DSC process. As part of this, officials are paying extra attention to the software design.

Previously, the KCR government had released a DSC notification to fill 5,089 teacher posts and accepted applications. However, the DSC exam was postponed due to the announcement of elections. After the elections, the Congress government, which came into power, granted permission to Revanth’s government to fill an additional 5,973 teacher posts. Thus, combining the previously announced posts and the newly approved by the finance department, the total number of posts reached 11,062.

The education department has indicated that the old DSC will be cancelled in the manner of Group 1. Out of the total 11,062 posts, more than 6,500 are for Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) posts. It is also known that there are 2,600 School Assistant (SA) posts, 700 Pandit posts, and 190 Physical Education Teacher (PET) posts.
