Telangana Government Declares Holiday on January 1

The Telangana government is gearing up to ensure a joyous celebration of the New Year, permitting festivities until 1 am on December 31. Pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels have been granted permission to stay open until the designated time, contingent upon obtaining prior approval as clarified by the police. The public is urged to partake in the celebrations responsibly to maintain a peaceful environment.

To facilitate the New Year celebrations, the government has declared January 1 as a general holiday while also announcing the cancellation of the holiday on the second Saturday of February. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Police has issued a set of guidelines for party-goers, pubs, clubs, and other event organizers to ensure a safe and enjoyable New Year celebration.
