Prabhu Deva’s Birthday

Famous actor, choreographer, and director Prabhu Deva was born in 1973 in Mysore, Karnataka. He has been interested in football since childhood. The influence of his father, famous choreographer Sundaram Master on his transformation had an impact on Prabhu Deva. He has worked in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi film industries. Fans call him the Indian Michael Jackson.

Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s Birthday

Indian soldier and national hero Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was born in 1914 in Amritsar, Punjab. His full name is Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw. He led India to its biggest military victory against Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. He participated in a total of five wars. He was fondly called Shyam Bahadur by everyone, in recognition of his association with the Gurkha Rifles.

He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2004. He has also won several national awards.

Jaya Prada’s Birthday

Telugu movie heroine and MP Jaya Prada Nahata was born in 1962 in Rajahmundry, East Godavari district. Her real name is Lalitharani. Jaya Prada wanted to become a doctor in her childhood. But when she was 14 years old, film actor M. Prabhakar Reddy saw her performing in school and named her Jaya Prada. She made her silver screen debut in the 1976 film Bhoomi Kosam. She has acted in over 300 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and Bengali languages till 2005. She joined the TDP in 1994. She was elected to the Rajya Sabha from the TDP in 1996. She later joined the Samajwadi Party and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh from 2004 to 2014.

Death of Chhatrapati Shivaji

Chhatrapati Shivaji Bhosle, known as the founder of the Maratha Empire in Western India, died in 1680. He fought against the Mughal emperors in Western India and established the Maratha Empire. Hindu Samrajya Divas is celebrated on the occasion of Shivaji’s coronation on Jyeshtha Shukla Trayodashi in 1674. Shivaji was born on February 19, 1630, in Junnar, Pune district, Maharashtra. He fought his first war at the age of 17 and captured the Torna Fort of the Bijapur Sultanate.

Nilesh Kulkarni’s Birthday

Former Indian cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni was born in 1973 in Mumbai. He holds the record for being the first Indian bowler to take a wicket with the first ball he bowled in Test cricket. He is the 12th bowler in the world to achieve this feat. Kulkarni achieved this feat in a Test match against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 1997-98. After a four-year break, he took his second wicket in a Test against Australia, where he took one wicket for 137 runs after bowling 588 balls. This ended his international career. He then played for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy.

William Watson’s Birthday

Famous English physician and scientist Sir William Watson was born in 1715 in London. He helped introduce the work of Carolus Linnaeus to England in Botany. He became a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1741. He later became Vice President in 1772 and was knighted in 1786. He made many discoveries through his research.
