Death of Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi, India’s greatest freedom fighter, believed that India’s independence would be achieved not by arms but by peace. Mahatma Gandhi, who is known as the father of the nation of India, fought peacefully against the British with many movements and brought independence to India. Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuram Godse on January 30, 1948.

Chidambaram Subramaniam’s Death Anniversary

Veteran politician Chidambaram Subramaniam was born on January 30, 1910. He contributed a lot to achieving self-sufficiency in food grains in India. After he took charge as the Minister of Agriculture in the Union Government, the seed of the Green Revolution was sown in India’s agricultural policy. The Government of India honoured him with the Bharat Ratna Award in the year 1998. He died on November 7, 2000.

Prakash Javadekar’s Birthday

Prakash Javadekar is a prominent national leader of the BJP. He was born on 30 January 1950 in Pune, Maharashtra. Elected to Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra in 2008. He served as Union Health Minister from 30 May 2019 to 7 July 2021. BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed Prakash Javadekar as Telangana BJP Election In-charge on July 07, 2023.

The National Cleanliness Day is celebrated in India on 30th January every year. Today Government of India organizes various programs. Officials will raise awareness among people that keeping the surroundings clean can prevent them from getting sick.

Kapil Dev Equals Highest Career Wickets in Tests

Former Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev had a special day in his career on January 30, 1994. He equalled Sir Richard Hadley’s world record of 431 Test wickets in Bangalore. The former Indian captain achieved this feat in his 130th Test match against Sri Lanka. Kapil achieved this feat in the Test match between India and Sri Lanka. In this match, he gave 41 runs and took 2 wickets. Team India won this Test by 95 runs and took the series.

Football player Dimitar Berbatov’s birthday

Dimitar Berbatov is a famous international football player from Bulgaria, born on 30th January 1981. He got many fans with his game. The Bulgarian striker has scored 48 goals in 108 appearances for Manchester United and 27 goals in 70 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, in England. However, he managed to score only one goal in the nine matches he played for the Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. Berbatov retired from international football in 2010.
